Background

TikTok for Business is TikTok's official platform for businesses to advertise, market, and connect with a massive audience.

The challenge

To design a cohesive website experience and refine the brand message.

The strategic approach to the site redesign lied in building a flexible modular site system that can elevate the message through media, text, or graphic elements.

Inspired by TikTok's culture I designed a visual direction that is bright in character and celebrates personalities.

The team and I kept the TikTok brand fundamentals, like primary colors and typography, but expanded the style guide with additional colors to make sure content editors can tailor pages to a message and audience and not have pages lose the visual rhythm. To elevate the brand and create moments of delight we incorporated TikTok popular sayings and tags into the design as a part of the visual language.

results

The strategic approach to the site structure combined with an inspiring visual style already shows the results:

  • 18.5% increase in unique blog views.
  • 33% increase in unique inspiration page views.
  • 11% increase in Ad Manager Registration.
